Mogadishu University offers this scholarship to academically distinguished students enrolled in the undergraduate programs on an annual basis and on the merit of preference in recognition of a student’s hard work and achievements. These scholarships are awarded to students with high academic performance, such as outstanding grades and high scores on tests.

MU will exempt tuition fees to reduce the financial burden on students and their families which can motivate them to continue excelling in their pursuits.

Requirements for the scholarship:

  1. Applicant must be enrolled at Mogadishu University.
  2. Must have completed at least 50 credit hours in Mogadishu University.
  3. Must be a first scoring student in his/her department in the total of two semesters.
  4. Applicant cannot benefit from this scholarship and another scholarship simultaneously.

The sibling scholarship is designed to support families who are sending more than one student to Mogadishu University and this is applicable to only Bachelor’s Degree students.

  1. The siblings must be enrolled at Mogadishu University.
  2. The siblings cannot benefit from this scholarship and another scholarship simultaneously.
  3. This program is limited to undergraduate

Every year in Ramadan, student affairs office holds an annual Quranic contest for enrolled undergraduate students. The mission of the scholarship is to encourage students to memorize the Book of God. As a result, the University grants a full scholarship to the contesters of first place in their departments.
