Faculty of Agriculture

The Bachelor in Agricultural science is a rigorous and broad-based curriculum designed to produce graduates who through teaching, research and consultancy will provide technical services in agribusiness, agricultural policy formulation, animal production, crop and land management, environmental protection and water resources.

Somalia enjoys large swathes of agricultural land and its economy heavily depends on farming, so the objective of the degree is to prepare competent graduates at the local and regional levels in the areas of agriculture and life sciences through adequate knowledge and skills in education and scientific research.

The learners of the program will take four academic years and each academic year consists of two semesters.

Each student is required to undertake field practice which complete the course work and other practical assignments that may be applicable to this degree.
