Mogadishu University has launched a new faculty, dedicated to civil aviation a study which is a significant milestone towards shaping Somalia’s higher education landscape.
In his remarks at the launching ceremony held at Jazeera Place Hotel on Tuesday, Mr. Ismail Omar, acting president, expressed gratitude to everyone involved in establishing the new faculty, noting that “the considerable effort to establish the faculty will play a vital role in improving airport operations, air traffic management, and enhancing flight guidance and produce aviation professionals.

Mogadishu University is breaking barriers, tackling aviation professionals’ shortage with a new aviation faculty this semester. The faculty of civil aviation is set to kick off classes in October 2024, bringing attention to new local education and career opportunities in the aviation industry.
MU is now the only university nationwide with an aviation program.
