Mogadishu University is a first non-profit and non-state higher education institution, established in Somalia after the civil war that broke out in 1991. The idea of establishing an institution for higher learning in Somalia after the devastating civil war goes back to 1993, but the foundation stone of MU was laid in 1997 and has opened its doors to the first intake of students in 22nd September 1997.
In 22 September 2022, Mogadishu University marks 25 years of its birth which coincides with the begining of the academic year 2022-2023.
Due to this important occasion, Mogadishu University woul like to announce offering full and partial scholarships to Somali bright and needy students in the following majors:

Eligibility Criteria
- Students applying for the scholarship program must demonstrate their financial needs.
- Students must not have received scholarships or grants from any other institution.
- Students should be admitted to Mogadishu university intake 2022-2023.
- Students must be willing to abide by all the conditions of Mogadishu University work study.
