Ms.Deqa Abdikarim Hassan
Deka Abdikarim Hassan graduated in General Nursing from University of Mogadishu, Somalia, in 2006.
In 2004, he started working as Voluntary community service provider at Community Service Nursing Organization (COSNO), Mogadishu, until 2007.
In the meanwhile, from 2004 on until 2006 he has been working as Nurse Student at Mogadishu Hospitals, and from 2005 on until 2006, he has been working as Voluntarily participated in the project for the prevention of blindness and cataract extraction at Arafat specialist Medical Center. Besides, from 2006 to 2007, he worked as Professional Nurse at Arafat specialist Hospital, Mogadishu, and from 2012 up to the moment, he has been working as Lecturer at Mogadishu University, Faculty of Nursing and Health Science.
- In March 2007: He participated in the seminar on syndromic case management held at Mogadishu university campus sponsored and implemented by WHO.
- From 2006 until 2007: He participated in the Institutional Capacity Building Program entitled: SOCSIS 3GF Global Fund. “Strengthening of civil Society in Somalia” jointly implemented by Oxfam Novib and Global Fund.
- In May 2006: He participated in the Workshop on female genital mutilation (FGM) held at Mogadishu University organized and implemented by Norwegian Nurses Association (NONA).
- In April 2004: He participated in Workshop on management and control of leprosy held at Mogadishu University organized and implemented by WHO.
Speaks Somali, English, Arabic, and Kiswahili.
