# 6114 Mathematics (2)

## Course Description

This course begins with hyperbolic functions and some applications of integration as finding the volume of a rigid body. Then it covers all the techniques of integration, so the student will be able to integrate almost all familiar functions. Also, it covers series in detail; special attention is given to the convergence of power series.

## Learning Objective

• 1. To define hyperbolic function
• 2. To differentiate hyporbolic functions
• 3. To integrate hyperbolic functions
• 4. To find the volume of a rigid body by using definite integration
• 5. To apply the techniques of integration such as: A. V-Substitution B. Integration by ports C. Trigonometric integral D. Trigonometric substitution E. Partial fractions
• 6. To cover series is detail and to give special attention to the convergence of power series
