Course Description

The major objective of this subject is to train students on the study of English as a foreign language. This will be realized through introducing students to various styles of learning English in addition to training them on teaching language skills like listening, speaking, reading, writing skills,. This subject also aims to give students the opportunity to read about successful teaching and the reasons for possible failing.

  • • Discuss the concept of English as a foreign language
  • • Explain various methods of learning and teaching of English
  • • Apply language skills like writing skills, dialogue, listening comprehension • Describe principles and techniques of successful teaching and how to avoid counter-productive approaches
