Course Description

The basic purpose of this subject is to present students with introduction to Shakespearean theatre and to discover its profundity and significance. This will be realized through study of not less than five plays of tragedies to historical plays. The introduction to this subject aims to study the Elizabethan theatre, its tradition and the Shakespearean criticism. A number of literary essay which shed light on Shakespeare heritage is taken into account during this course.
