Course Description

The purpose of this subject is to give students introduction of the pioneers of the English literature and the more important literary movements which came into existence and developed through several centuries in English. This subject also aims supply of students with historical perspective through which they can view phases which the English literature had passed. This is to be achieved through studying poetic verses, prose and plays throughout this long period.
