An Introduction Training To MU English Lecturers

( 01- Aug-  2017 ) Mogadishu University Institute of Languages has organized a two-day professional training (July 30 – 31, 2017) given to MU English Lecturers at Faculty of Arts and Humanities. The aim of the training was to give an introductory training to the lecturers on the modern English Programs, the Recorded Class Series.

During the training, these agendas were among those discussed: The nature of the Recorded class series, how it works, the main disciplines of this program, Teachers and the Class delivery. Also the facilitator of the training, Mr. Abdiwali Sheikh Mohamed, presented several training Videos as to give the lecturers an in-depth understanding on the program.

In the opening remarks, Dr. Ali Dahir Mohamed, Vice president for Academic Affairs of Mogadishu University, addressed the objectives of such training and reason why Mogadishu University has developed this English Program. “As part of its strategic plan, Mogadishu University Council has approved to increase the credit hours of the languages, Arabic and English. This will help the University to ensure the quality of the education as well as produce qualified students at the end”, the Vice president remarked.

Also, Dr. Said Abubakar stressed the importance of languages for the study, and encouraged the Lecturers to implement the program through the plan.

The ended in a good condition and successfully.
